If I need the definition of a reluctant sale, this is it!
The present owners are very attached to this boat, in the early days, they even lived aboard her. It’s a true family boat, while the husband (a qualified mechanic) looks after the oily bits, the wife lovingly reupholstered the seats etc. The interior is still in original condition and good for its age. This is a lived in boat.
The Fairline factory refurbished engines were installed in 2002, they look like they were installed last week, not a sign of oil anywhere. The old cable steering has also been up rated to hydraulics, this, along with electric Trim Tabs, should give good service for years to come. I got the feeling that all the work on the boat has been completed to a high standard.
The Womble isn’t included in the sale and I’m not sure if there will be any drinks left in the cabinet either!!
