The Colvic Northerner began to be built in 1970 by Thames Marine with a round bilge hull which has a raked stem. The hull and decks are of GRP construction with full displacement underwater profile. The Colvic Northerner is a classic Colvic boat with production of the boat continuing for many years after it was first built.

The cushions are of very good quality however some people may want more modern looking upholstery, The galley has all the needed equipment such as cooker, sink and fridge as well as the boat having a head, making it a practical and liveable boat for the user. She also has an ideal cockpit for fishing enthusiasts.
