Broker's Comments
Since buying this lovely Wooden Yacht in the autumn of 2002 the owners have completed a major refit. The underlying quality of the boat is so exceptional that they always felt that she deserved every bit of her restoration. The engines came out and were re-built as were the gearboxes. Bulwarks, rubbing strips, samson posts and parts of the deck were renewed and the whole deck was recaulked. They fitted new cooker, toilets, hot water system with calorifer, Webasto heating, wet exhaust systems, alternators, engine instruments, mainsail and a multitude of minor (and not so minor!) items.
They have continued developments during 2004/5/6 with a variety of improvements the most noteworthy of which has been the replacement of the mizzen mast with a new wooden mast and all new stainless rigging and rigging screws. But sadly they do not have the time or resources to continue work on her as she deserves in the longer term. She is thoroughly sound and there is a very positive surveyor's report from May 2003. There are still a number of improvements needed but they are largely things like instruments and cosmetics. Above all she needs a new owner with the time and interest to continue the good work.
